Analytical Chemist and Biochemist Positions open
The Chemistry Department at Eastern Kentucky University seeks applicants for two tenure track positions in 1) analytical chemistry and 2) biochemistry at the Assistant Professor level with appointment to begin August 15, 2019. Teaching responsibilities for both candidates will include upper division disciplinary courses to fulfill ACS degree requirements and core and special topic graduate courses in their discipline. Candidates for these position must have a Ph.D. degree in chemistry or a closely related field and be committed to excellence in teaching, service, and scholarly activity. Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral and teaching experience. While all areas of expertise in analytical and biochemistry will be considered, preference will be given to candidates who have additional interest in microscopy and/or forensic trace evidence. Research expectations include the establishment of an independent research program commensurate with a masters-level institution. Candidates with research plans that can complement existing strengths of the department are preferred. Start-up funds are available.
