Alumunus wins 2020 EKU Professional Achievement Alumni Award
Dr. Adam Lanzarotta (B.S. Forensic Science, Class of 2005) was recently awarded the 2020 Professional Achievement award from EKU's International Alumni Association. Dr. Lanzarotta currently serves as a Chemist in the Trace Examination Section of the Food and Drug Administration in Cincinnati, OH. This position is quite novel as Adam works in the Forensic Chemistry Center but also collaborates with other divisions in providing laboratory support on a number of projects including the FDA’s Opioid Project (nationwide initiative) and Criminal Investigations (collaborates with Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and the United States Pharmacopeia Convention). He has also won numerous group recognition awards, letters of appreciation, and individual awards based on his hard work, innovation, speed, and effort on these projects. This prestigious award recognizes an alumnus who has achieved prominence professionally and made significant contributions to society, reflecting credit on the University.
